Privacy Policy

This is a courtesy translation. The English version of this policy is the binding text.

PolyGotcha is an iOS keyboard that translates what you type. It is built so that your privacy does not depend on promises; it depends on how iOS works.

What we collect

Nothing. PolyGotcha has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We operate no servers.

Your keystrokes

The PolyGotcha keyboard ships with Full Access switched off, and never prompts you to turn it on. While it is off, iOS itself prevents the keyboard from reaching the internet or sharing data with any other app, including our own. What you type is passed directly to the app you are typing in, and to Apple's translation frameworks on your device when you use translation. Turning Full Access on, which iOS requires before any keyboard can use the Apple Translation model, does not change what we do with your text: we operate no servers, so there is no destination for it.

Translation

Translation is performed by Apple's models on your device:

• Apple Intelligence, the default model, runs entirely on your iPhone. Text it processes never leaves your device, and it requires no permissions.
• Apple Translation, also fully on-device, is optional. iOS only exposes it to a keyboard when Full Access is enabled, so it stays unavailable unless you choose that model and turn the permission on yourself.

The current version never uses the network for translation. If a future version offers Apple's Private Cloud Compute model, it would send the text being translated to Apple's end to end encrypted, stateless service; it would be optional, clearly labeled, and this policy would be updated first.

Settings

Your keyboard preferences (language pair, mode, tone, model choice) are stored locally on your device in the keyboard's own sandbox. They are not synced or transmitted anywhere by PolyGotcha.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime pass are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Purchase state is verified on device through StoreKit, and a single yes or no flag is shared between the app and the keyboard on your device so the keyboard knows Pro is active. That flag contains no personal data and never leaves your device.

Children

PolyGotcha does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. There is nothing to collect.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
